Folder Contents

The below is a detailed account of the folder contents provided to you for SignAgent Pro™.

Folder Name:

AA-001-SignAgent Pro contains all your starting files.

Rename the folder to suit your existing file naming system.

InDesign Template File:

AA-001-SignAgent Pro.indd This document is used to create location plans.

Rename the file to suit your existing file naming system.

FileMaker Database Template:

AA-001-SignAgent Pro.fp7 This database manages your sign information.

Rename the file to suit your existing file naming system.

READ ME.txt File:

READ ME.txt This document contains the database username and password.

It is call a read me file for a reason!

Archive Folder:

When AA-001-SignAgent Pro.fp7 is opened or when a synchronization is performed an automatic backup AA-001-SignAgent Pro.fp7 is created in the archive folder.

DO NOT RENAME OR MOVE THIS FOLDER. It should always remain in the main root folder.

Excel Folder:

This is where Microsoft Excel files that are automatically exported from SignAgent Pro go.

DO NOT RENAME OR MOVE THIS FOLDER. It should always remain in the main root folder.

Fonts Folder:

Contains all of the fonts that are required for proper viewing of SignAgent Pro.

Links Folder:

Contains all of the files linked to your InDesign document. Place floor plans files here.

XML Folder:

Contains the XML files that FileMaker and InDesign share.

DO NOT RENAME OR MOVE THIS FOLDER. It should always remain in the main root folder.

100_from_FM.xml File:

This file is automatically created by FileMaker during the sync process and is the file that need to be imported into InDesign to complete the process.

FileMaker will automatically export 101_from_ID.xml if you change the job number to 101 under SETTINGS.

100_from_ID.xml File:

This file is manually exported from InDesign during the sync process and is automatically imported into FileMaker to complete the process.

FileMaker will be expecting 101_from_ID.xml if you change the job number to 101 under SETTINGS.

INTERNAL Folder:

Contains the XML files that FileMaker uses.

DO NOT RENAME OR MOVE THIS FOLDER. It should always remain in the main root folder.

    If you are using the new synchronization script InDesign. You no longer have to worry about importing and exporting the XML files and what you're naming them.

    The important thing is is that there should only be (1) from_FM.xml file and 1 from_ID.xml file in the XML folder.

    If there are 2 sets of XML files (4 in total) please remove this set that does not match the job number in the SETTINGS table.
